Playing for Change

Recently for a graduation gift from my parents I had travelled to New Orleans. This trip was HUGE for me since I had been waiting almost two years for this! My parents had been many times and always came back home with many stories about how beautiful the city was, but that wasn't the only beautiful thing about it. There was also the music and soul of the city. New Orleans had many, MANY street performers with many different talents. I remember my parents tell me about one named "Grandpa Elliot", a blind singer, and while I was there I had the opportunity to see and listen to him sing and also get a portrait of him. Grandpa Elliot was featured on the "Playing for Change" record "a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music". This was just one of many of my experiences in this beautiful city.
