Industrial Portrait

Ted Grant said: To learn the magic of light, get up before sunrise…and watch.

So that said what does it take to create a good industry portrait. This piece was about finding the balance in light sources. What would it take to capture the perfect portrait (not necessarily the perfect subject), but a truly balanced picture. Light comes in many forms and from many different sources, whether natural source overhead artificial, backlit, flash, it is up to me the photographer to take the lighting elements and reshape them into a great photo. The lighting in this photo is balanced between the natural light coming in the window with the flash strobes set to the side to fill the subject. At the end of the day does it matter about the technical side of the photo? To many, no, but remember there is more to a great photo than a pointing and shooting.
