No one component, photo, lighting and editing allow the finished product to stand on its own. All three elements, or steps are required to make a successful fashion ad print. The layout has to be appealing to the audience. After all, we buy fashion to make ourselves beautiful or attractive so why have anything less in a photo. Jeans –Men’s or Women’s?If one were to take ad print photographs, for jeans, what would the key elements be? For men’s jeans I envision sharp lines, rugged edges, square and hard angles, harsh colours. So thinking about the ladies, I did a shoot for jeans, focusing on the elements of women. I concentrated on soft light, deep rich, yet delicate colours and tones. The body shot of Jessica, topless, in jeans was about the soft yet figure hugging jeans, and focused on the delicate curves of a woman. The light, similar to the curves of the body, provides the shape and texture of the photos.
