On Saturday January 30 we had the pleasure of traveling to Barrie Ontario to join in a fun day in support of COPE Service Dogs. COPE Service Dogs are bred, raised, trained and serve directly in the community of Barrie and surrounding areas. COPE Dogs (Canine Opportunity, People Empowerment) are service dogs for primarily mobility impaired individuals and the program is designed to improve the quality of life and independence of their partner. The day was COPE’s annual Bonspiel and was held at the Barrie Curling Club. It was good to see all the participants up bright and early on Saturday morning and out on the ice having such a great time for such a wonderful cause.
Thank you Erin for having us for the day and please take a moment to visit their wonderful website with lots of information regarding the service dog program: http://copedogs.org
